This entrepreneurial journey began as a hustle to provide for family after being laid off in the oil and gas industry for me. I wanted to provide an affordable service that would allow individuals with locs to feel empowered by expressing themselves through their hair. With the help of family, Loc'd in Beauty was created. The clientele grew and formed a business literally before my eyes. Took Sisterlock class and became certified. Many other classes, sanitation, business, loc styling, loc maintenance courses across the United States to learn as much as I could when it came to locs. Worked under mentors and soaked up as much as possible to bring all the knowledge to Loc'd in Beauty.  Transforming the loc industry is inspiring and serves as an example that anything is possible when you have a vision and the passion to make it happen.

Started doing locs in 2019 by accident. My mom was not able to get her hair retightened during Covid, so she had taught me and I would practice on her. I began working at Loc'd in beauty, it has taught me to appreciate the industry and learn the customer service, providing service and the business side. Now that ill be going to college, I have a skill that can get me a little change in my pocket (lol). Loc'd in Beauty has build my confidence with clients and my hair. It has the atmosphere that is inspiring and uplifting to everyone that has locs.  This is only the beginning for me, I look forward to enjoying every minute.
